Applies to: Request Central, TRX TranscriptionPro™ (TPro), and the TRX Word Add-in · Provider (including court reporters and transcribers), Court Administrator
March brings continuity to long matters and more power to the desktop. TPro from TheRecordXchange® (TRX) now carries context across the sessions of a hearing, the TRX Word Add-in gains a Speakers and QuickText panel, and VoiceCopy™ adds an updated speech-to-text engine option. TPro also became generally available to TRX courts this month.
New in TPro: multi-session hearing continuity
For: Provider · Transcribing a matter that spans several sessions
Context carries forward. When you create an Enhanced Transcript for a later session on the same request, TPro uses the most recent earlier session as context, so names, terms, and formatting stay consistent across the record.
Only the right sessions count. TPro uses a session only if it ended before the current one starts, based on the designation's bookmarks. Running the same session again doesn't feed it its own output.
Nothing to set up. This happens automatically. If no earlier session qualifies, the transcript is created as usual.

New in the TRX Word Add-in
For: Provider (court reporters, transcribers, and proofreaders) · Finishing a TPro draft in Microsoft Word
One Transcription Tools panel. Speakers and QuickText now sit in one panel, with the jurisdiction from the TPro transcript shown as a badge at the top.
Speakers. Scan the document for speaker IDs, insert one with a click, or change a speaker ID throughout the transcript with the pencil. THE COURT is always Alt+C, and the next speakers are Alt+1 to Alt+9.
QuickText. Insert standard wording and formatting set by TRX for your jurisdiction, such as Witness Sworn, New Witness Testimony, and Convert to Q&A. Hover over an entry to preview it. A new WHEREUPON entry is available in jurisdictions that use it.
Shortcuts built in. Keyboard shortcuts moved from Word macros into the add-in itself, so they work without enabling macros. They need Microsoft 365 with Word version 2408 or later.
New for VoiceCopy
For: Provider · Processing VoiceCopy on the Workbench
VoiceCopy can now process audio with an updated speech-to-text engine, giving you another option when producing draft text from a recording.
Request Central improvements
For: Court Administrator · Seeing who has access to each request
Display Share on the Activity Report. The Pending & Active tab has a new Display Share filter. Set it to Yes to add a Shared with column listing the view-only users on each request's Share tab, in the same order, with pending users marked. The customer and provider aren't repeated there because they have their own columns. The filter defaults to No.
Common questions
Do I need to link sessions together for multi-session continuity? No. TPro picks the right earlier session on the same request automatically.
Why don't my Word Add-in shortcuts work? Shortcuts need Microsoft 365 with Word version 2408 or later, and the add-in installed through TRX's installer. The Insert buttons in the panel work either way.
Can I add my own QuickText entries? No. TRX maintains QuickText entries so the wording stays correct for each court.
