October brings a rebuilt TR Assist™ to Asgard, one-click VoiceCopy+ PDF downloads, direct transcript delivery and background uploads in Request Central, and template choice in TRX TranscriptionPro™ (TPro). Here’s what’s new in TheRecordXchange®.
The new TR Assist in Asgard
TR Assist version 2, released October 30, 2026, is a rebuilt AI assistant that sits beside the recording you have open in Asgard. Ask questions about the hearing in plain language and get answers drawn from the recording’s VoiceCopy™ transcript, log notes, and case information, with citations you can select to check each point yourself. It’s a free upgrade for every court using TR Assist.
TheRecordXchange is turning on TR Assist version 2 court by court, as each court’s Asgard site is upgraded. Your court will hear from us before it’s turned on.
What can I do with the new TR Assist?
Ask about the hearing, typed or spoken. Type a question or select the microphone and ask out loud.
Check every answer. Select a timestamp to play the moment it came from, or a log note or case information citation to open that source. A Checked sources list shows the passages used.
Find every mention. Ask whether something was said and TR Assist searches the whole hearing for those words, then answers with counts and times.
Summarize, compare, and draft. Summarize a hearing, compare testimony, list the exhibits entered, or start a draft order based on the hearing and ruling.
Keep saved conversations. Hold separate conversations about the same recording, return to them later, and switch between them while an answer is still being written.
Pick up where you left off. TR Assist remembers context from your earlier conversations on the same recording, and deletes that memory after 30 days with no conversation activity there.
What won’t TR Assist do?
TR Assist reports what the record shows. It does not give its own opinions on guilt, liability, verdicts, rulings, sentencing, or witness credibility, and an automated screen blocks requests unrelated to court work. It works only with the recording you have open and doesn’t accept uploaded files. Verify important details against the recording before relying on them.
How is my court’s data handled?
Each user’s saved conversations are visible only to that user and are encrypted in transit and at rest. Recordings, transcripts, log notes, case information, and TR Assist conversations are not used to train or improve any AI model. For more on what TR Assist does and declines, see How to Use TR Assist in Asgard.
VoiceCopy+ linked transcripts
How do I download a linked transcript PDF?
Exporting a VoiceCopy+ linked transcript PDF is now a one-click download. The file downloads automatically when it’s ready, with no extra browser tab or second click.
What changed for long hearings?
Linked transcripts for very long hearings now build in the background with a progress indicator, instead of timing out.
Request Central
Can providers upload finished transcripts directly?
Yes, where the court turns it on. A Claimant can let the Providers on a request’s Share tab upload finished transcripts straight to the Downloads tab. The Claimant still decides when downloads are enabled and is notified when a file is uploaded. Request Type icons now show download status by color. Court admins turn this on in Admin > Settings > Transcript Delivery; it is off by default.
Do uploads keep going if I close the upload window?
Yes, where your court has background uploads turned on. Uploads continue when you close the upload window. A progress badge lets you reopen it, and you’ll see a warning if you try to leave the page while an upload is still running.
What else changed?
Admin labels are clearer: Manage Seller Permissions is now Manage User Groups, and Financial Settings is now Settings.
The appeal (gavel) and archive (folder) icons on the Request list now show tooltips.
TRX TranscriptionPro™ (TPro)
Can I choose a template when I start a TPro run?
Yes. Organizations can now offer more than one TPro template, and you pick the one you need when you start a run.
How are interruptions punctuated?
TPro transcripts now use the court-standard double dash (--) for interruptions and false starts.
Asgard improvements
Create Designation has moved into the left-hand menu on the Asgard player page.
Location dropdowns in Location/User Associations are now alphabetized and hide locations that are already assigned, which prevents duplicate assignments.
When you download a day’s archived source files from search, Asgard checks that the archive covers the full day and warns you if files may be missing.
