Overview
This guide explains how to download VoiceCopy (VC) text from the TRX ASGARD system. The "Download RTF" option is available in two locations: the Search tab (for entire hearing dates) and individual designations (for specific segments only).
Step-by-Step Process
Option 1: Download VoiceCopy Text from Search Tab (Entire Hearing)
Navigate to the Search tab in TRX ASGARD
Search for and select your desired hearing date
Click the 3-line menu (hamburger menu) at the top of the player window
Select "Download RTF" from the dropdown menu
Choose where to save the RTF file
Note: This will download VoiceCopy text for the entire hearing date
Option 2: Download VoiceCopy Text from Designation (Specific Segment)
Navigate to your existing designation via Designations tab
The VoiceCopy text displays directly in the TRX ASGARD player window
Click the 3-line menu (hamburger menu) at the top of the player window
Select "Download RTF" from the dropdown menu
Choose where to save the RTF file
Note: This will download VoiceCopy text for only the specific designation segment
Important Notes
VoiceCopy text is computer-generated speech to text and should be reviewed for accuracy
The downloaded RTF file contains only the text content - no timestamps or speaker identifications
This clean text format makes it easy to copy and paste into transcript files for transcription and proofing work
RTF (Rich Text Format) files can be opened in most word processing applications (Microsoft Word, WordPerfect, Eclipse, VocEdit, etc.) and preserve basic text formatting while remaining compatible across different systems
Advantage of downloading from designations: You get only the text for that specific segment rather than the entire hearing, making it more focused and manageable for transcription work
