Overview

TheRecordXchange (TRX) has separate sites for different courts and jurisdictions. Your account is created on the specific court site where you need to submit a request — not on a central TRX homepage. Make sure you're starting from the correct site before creating your account.

If you're not sure which site to use, check the link or email you received from the court, your attorney, or TRX Support.

How to Create Your Account

There are two ways a TRX account gets created:

Option 1 — During Request Submission (Most Common)

You don't need an account before you start. You can fill out a request form first, and you'll be prompted to create an account at the end before your request is submitted.

  1. Navigate to your court's TRX site (e.g., yourcourtname.trxchange.net).

  2. Click the Request Recording or Order Certified Transcript button to begin your request.

  3. Fill out the request form with your case details.

  4. When prompted to submit, you'll be asked to log in or create a new account.

  5. Enter your name, email address, and a password to register.

  6. Your account is created and your request is submitted at the same time.

Option 2 — Create an Account Before Submitting

If you'd like to set up your account in advance:

  1. Go to your court's TRX site.

  2. Click Login in the top-right corner of the page.

  3. Select Create an account or Sign up.

  4. Enter your name, email address, and a password.

  5. You'll receive a confirmation email — click the link to verify your address and activate your account.

After Your Account Is Created

Once your account is active, you can:

  • Log in to view and manage your requests from your dashboard.

  • Receive email notifications when your request status changes.

  • Make payments when a deposit or balance is due.

  • Download completed transcripts or access audio recordings through the Player tab.

Important: Each Court Site Is Separate

TRX operates individual sites for each court or jurisdiction. An account created on one site (e.g., marioncounty-in.trxchange.net) is separate from an account on another site (e.g., elkhartcounty-in.trxchange.net).

If you submit requests across multiple courts, you will need a separate account on each site. Your login credentials do not carry over between sites.

Sharing Access to Your Request

Once your account is created and your request is submitted, you can share the request with others — such as co-counsel or a paralegal — using the Share tab on your request. They will receive an invitation to create their own TRX account if they don't already have one.
