Request Payment Bypass:
In December of 2023, TRX Engineering implemented a payment bypass feature for certain users (Based on their email address domain). This feature allows users to skip past the credit card payment screen so they can submit a request without making a credit card payment at the time of creation.
In Elkhart County, there are specific users which have been 'preauthorized' by the Court to receive audio requests without having to make a payment at the time of submitting their Request
Who are the Authorized users?
TRX Customers who's TRX Account email includes the following email domain will bypass this payment screen as described above
Public Defenders Office Email Domain = *@pdo.in.gov
Elkhart Prosecutors Office Email Domain = *@elkhartpa.com
Elkhart Public Defender? jmajerek@elkhartcounty.com
What Is the Experience for these Authorized Users
These users submit their Requests on the TRX Site like all other Customer Users. They fill out the Audio Request form and then click "View Request" button. The user is then taken to the Checkout / Cart page. This page displays the overview of the Request (image below)
This checkout page displays an amount due of $0 and the Request can be submitted with no payment required.
Court Responsibilities
The Court will review the Request and will coordinate with the customer via the messages tab as needed.
