Release versions: Asgard V0.1.70 – V0.1.114

Release period: April 2025 – December 2025

We've been making a series of improvements to TheRecordXchange platform to make it faster, more reliable, and easier to use. This article summarizes the most recent updates across search, TR Assist, VoiceCopy, and the audio player.

Improved Search Experience

We've made several fixes to how search works across the platform:

  • Multi-word search now works correctly. Previously, searching for more than one word at a time could return incorrect or incomplete results. This has been fixed and multi-word searches now behave as expected.

  • External search login redirect improved. When accessing a TRX site through an external search link and being prompted to log in, you are now taken directly to your search results after logging in — rather than being redirected to your general dashboard. Your search criteria (date, keyword, location) are preserved.

  • Active Directory (AD) login redirect fixed. Users who log in via Active Directory are now correctly redirected back to the content they were trying to access rather than the home screen.

  • Docket search fixed. An issue that prevented docket-based searches from returning results has been resolved.

TR Assist Updates

TR Assist, our AI-powered research tool, has received several improvements:

  • Cleaner, simplified interface. The TR Assist button has been updated with a more polished look and the interface has been streamlined for ease of use. The "Chat with TR Assist" experience is now more intuitive.

  • TR Assist now clearly indicates when VoiceCopy isn't ready. If VoiceCopy has not yet finished processing for a recording, the TR Assist button will appear in a disabled state with a tooltip explaining that it will be available once VoiceCopy processing is complete.

  • TR Assist fixed in WAIRC. An issue causing TR Assist to return 500 errors for users at the WAIRC site has been resolved.

VoiceCopy Improvements

VoiceCopy — which provides spoken-word transcription for audio recordings — has been updated with the following improvements:

  • Faster and more reliable performance. We identified and resolved performance issues that were causing VoiceCopy to load slowly or behave inconsistently, particularly for longer recordings.

  • Speaker ID display cleaned up. Default speaker labels (e.g., "Speaker 1," "Speaker 2") are now hidden when they don't provide meaningful information, resulting in a cleaner transcript view.

  • Inline search duplicate block fix. A visual bug that caused duplicate text blocks to appear when using inline search within VoiceCopy has been resolved.

  • Voice copy on demand processing fixed. An issue that caused on-demand VoiceCopy jobs to fail to process has been resolved.

Audio Player Fixes

  • Multi-channel volume controls improved. An issue where isolating and re-enabling individual audio channels caused other channels to jump to maximum volume has been fixed. Channel volume levels now behave correctly when toggling individual channels on or off.

Account & Login Fixes

  • Password reset fixed for Active Directory users. Users logging in via Active Directory (AD/SAML) were in some cases being incorrectly prompted through the password reset flow. This has been resolved.

  • OTP (one-time password) email fix. An issue where one-time password emails were being sent with a blank code has been resolved.
