This web-based system allows authorized court personnel to manage audio, video, and transcripts through a secure interface.

Basic Navigation

Upon logging in, click "View Dashboard".

Your dashboard allows you to search for court recordings, save portions of recordings, and add time-stamped private notes to organize your work efficiently.

Searching for Recordings

Click the Search tab on the Dashboard to open the Search tool.

Date-Based Search

  1. Use the date filters to locate recordings from specific time periods

  2. Default view shows the last 7 days of recordings

Content-Based Search

  1. Use the VoiceCopy and log notes features to search for specific:

    • Names

    • Words

    • Case numbers

    • Judge or attorney appearances

  2. Type your keyword (Names, Case Number, Appearances, etc) into the Search text box and click search. This will search both Log Notes and Voicecopy Text for the dates specified in the date fields.

Note: VoiceCopy is automatically run on all content uploaded to ASGARD, making all hearings searchable via text search.

Search Options

There are two ways to search within a recording:

  1. VoiceCopy's built-in search window - A dedicated search tool within the VoiceCopy interface that allows you to search specifically within the linked text

  2. Browser search (Ctrl+F) - The standard browser search functionality that can be used to find text on the page

Navigating Search Results

The search results will display hearings with the following sortable columns:

  • Location

  • Start time

  • End time

  • Total duration

To sort results, click on any column header to organize the list by that attribute (ascending or descending).

To open a specific hearing from the search results:

  1. Locate the desired hearing in the list

  2. Click the "View" text/button for that hearing

Pro Tip: VoiceCopy's built-in search window is often more effective for finding specific content within the recording than the browser's Ctrl+F function, as it's specifically designed to search within the linked text and can help you navigate directly to those points in the audio.

You can navigate between different recordings by returning to the list and selecting another hearing.

Creating Designations

Designations allow you to create specific segments from longer recordings for easier reference or sharing.

Creating a Designation

  1. Locate the desired recording and click "View" to open it in TRX Studio

  2. Identify the specific segment you want to designate

  3. Set the start and end times for your designation using either method in TRX Studio:

    • Method A: Navigate to the desired start point in the player and triple-click on the start time field to automatically insert the current player time

    • Method B: Manually type the start time into the start time field

  4. Then set the end time using either:

    • Method A: Navigate to the desired end point in the player and triple-click on the end time field to automatically insert the current player time

    • Method B: Manually type the end time into the end time field

  5. Click the bookmark icon to save the specific segment of the hearing

  6. Save the designation with a descriptive name

  7. Access the designation later for playback or transcription

Pro Tip: The triple-click method is particularly useful for precisely capturing the exact moment in the audio you want to mark. This feature helps eliminate manual entry errors and saves time when creating designations.

Important: Creating designations does not alter the original recording; it simply marks specific sections for easier access.
